ArjoHuntleigh, in collaboration with the exclusive representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, the company PROMA doo, offered the Clinical Center of Banjaluka to be a regional clinical reference center, and thus support the ongoing efforts of management of Clinical Center to improve the quality of services for patients and working conditions of employees.
The first step of this cooperation is to equip a room in an intensive therapy department with equipment from the company ArjoHuntleigh. The offered equipment consists of the most modern electric beds for intensive care, indiscriminate aerial mattress for the prevention and treatment of decubitus, ceiling lifts to transfer patients, and five pumps for the prevention of deepvein thrombosis, stretchers to transfer patients, flusher disinfectors (blatex) for cleaning and disinfection of night vessels and bottles for suction, and moving baths for bathing the immovable patients.

With this project, Clinical Centre of Banja Luka will get equipment that will allow the conditions for very high-care of patients at the Department of intensive care, as well as further reducing the risk of decubitus, hospital infections and DVT’s. In addition, the staff of the Department of Intensive Care will be protected from unnecessary risk of injury in the transfer of patients. This will allow the patients of CCBL to have the best conditions for rapid recovery in the region, and CCBL employees will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest equipment for the care of patients.
Demo room in the intensive care department will serve as a place for training staff from other departments of CCBL, and interested medicine workers from other institutions.
The project will be implemented during the summer, and with the delivery of equipment ArjoHuntleigh company will hold a series of educational seminars on the topic of prevention of hospital infection, DVT, and the decubitus, as well as the proper and safe way of transfer of immovable patients.
This will be a big step forward in our effort to further improve care for our patients and increase their safety during their stay in the Clinical Center.
