Infectious Diseases Clinic provides clinical and hospital services for patients from areas infectology. Infectious Diseases Clinic, thanks to, among other, to the immune laboratory clinics, reference center in the Republic of Srpska for diagnosis and treatment of viral hepatitis B and C and for diagnosis and treatment of HIV / AIDS.
On the ground floor of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases from 1st of June 2007, it works counseling for hepatitis B and C and HIV infection in which the conduct is voluntary, anonymous and free HIV testing, counseling before and after testing, rapid tests on the tiles (HIV, HCV, HBV), psychosocial support for people living with chronic hepatitis B and / or C, and people living with HIV / AIDS, as well as people from their environment (residents, partners, friends ,..), preexpositional prophylaxis of hepatitis B in health workers and postexpositional prophylaxis of hepatitis B and HIV infection of health workers after the incident.
Working Hours for counseling are from 07.00 to 20.00 on weekdays and on Saturdays from 12:00 to 16.00. With counseling coordinators you can discuss via phone number 051 342 -448.
In the Clinic, we can do a number of diagnostic search, among others, liver biopsy, abdominal ultrasound, endoscopy (EGD endoscopy, a rektosigmoidoskopija) and ECG recording. Serological results could be done in the laboratory of Imunology (the determination of markers of hepatitis A, B, C, D, E, diagnosis of HIV infection, torch battery tests, the battery of tests for infectious mononucleosis syndrome, screening test for infection with Borrelia burgdoferi, autoantibodies, battery of tests for patients who are preparing for koronary, and the battery of tests for spouses, which are tested for infertility, and preparing for outbody fertilization).
Infectious Diseases Clinic consists of four departments:

  1. Department of general infectious diseases with the outpatient reception tract, laboratory and day hospital
  2. Department for immunodeficiency virus infection
  3. Department of intensive care, neuroinfection and unclear fever conditions and
  4. Department for viral hepatitis and hepatology ambulance.
