Internal Medicine Clinic comprises of five departments in which complete laboratorial, biochemical and immunological diagnostic as well as whole sets of diagnostic procedures are provided to the patients.
Departments of the Clinic:

  1. Department of General and Internal medicine with Reception polyclinic tract with reanimation and patient observation
  2. Department of Gastroenterology andHepatology
  3. Department of Nephrology with Plasmapheresis (Plasma Exchange)
  4. Department of Hematology
  5. Department of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology

In addition to the hospital departments within the Clinic there are four sub-specialized outpatients departments (for gastroenterology, hematology, rheumatology and nephrology), specialized internal and counseling/consultation outpatient departments and outpatient department for preparation for kidney transplantation and post transplantation treatment.

Besides the regular diagnostic and medical treatment, education of patients in regards to the hygiene, dietetics regime and nutrition for some diseases like colitis ulceroseand Crohn’sdisease, diseases of liver, pancreas, gall and ulcer with nutritional counseling as well as education of patients in regards to the adequate and timely recognition of bleeding signs from upper/lower parts of gastrointestinal tract is performed in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Also, the urgent gastroscopy of the patients with signs of acute bleeding without previous preparation is performed.
In the nearest future Osteodensitometry Cabinet will start to provide healthcare services in accordance to the Project that covers diagnostic and treatment of approximately 1500 patients with the risk in regards to osteoporosis (outpatients and hospitalized patients). The Cabinet for Osteoporosis is managed by the physician team that comprises of two rheumatologist, two endocrinologists, one orthopedist and one physiatrist.
