Committee for International Exchange of Medical Students of Republic of Srpska (Srpska Medical Student’s International Committee – SaMSIC) in collaboration with the Clinical Centre of Banja Luka was conducted the project “International exchange of medical students” in 2009.
The students, who were on exchange in the Clinical Center of Banja Luka, came from all over the world. They expressed their great satisfaction with the overall organization and they also expressed a desire to come back, and some even plan to perform the specialization in the CC Banja Luka.
Given the positive outcome of the overall project, the Clinical Center of Banja Luka will follow the same this year and provide students in the exchange transport, breakfast and lunch. Students will spend two months, July and August 201 , in Banja Luka.
This year, the Clinical Centre of Banja Luka will visit 20 students. In July, 13 students from Spain, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Greece, Hungary, Poland and the Netherlands, and in August, seven students from Brazil, the Czech Republic, Italy, Russia, Slovenia and Turkey.
The students will perform practice under the supervision of doctors at the Clinical Center, departments of surgery, internal medicine and emergency medicine. The students will be placed in a student campus Vrbas.
Committee for International Exchange of Medical Students of Republic of Srpska – SaMSIC organized a social program of visiting the cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the students, rafting on the river Vrbas, and a series of weekend excursions. It is also organized the reception by the Mayor of Banja Luka, as well as learning about the structure of the Clinical Center of Banja Luka.
