The Head of the Maternity Ward of the Clinic of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Professor Nebojša Jovanić, MD, PhD said: “Unfortunately, this is not an event that often occurs and we would like to have these kinds of beautiful happenings more frequently, since, on a daily basis, an approximate number of newborns is ten. Annually, from 3000 up to 3200 babies are born in the Clinic of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the Clinical Centre Banjaluka. In the past six months 1600 babies were born, which means that the number is larger in comparison to the same period of the previous year when 1400 babies were born. There are months when more babies are born, like September and October. The nickname for them is winter babies. This year, triplets were also born.”
