novasala1Due to the donation of Hemofarm company, the Clinic of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the CCBL managed to equip a new modern theatre for gynaecological laparoscopic procedures which was presented and officially handed over to the physicians and medical staff of the Clinic for commissioning.


Acting General Manager Professor Mirko Stanetić MD, Phd said: „By organizing the ceremonial opening of the theatre for laparoscopic procedures, we would like to express our gratitude to Hemofarm company, because the company understands the significance of the Clinical Centre Banja Luka and assists in all activities which are related to improving the existing conditions for daily treatments and also provides the support to long-term development of the biggest health care institution in the Republic of Srpska. The new gynaecological theatre means a lot to the Clinical Centre Banja Luka because it is a part of the Clinic which, besides the fact that it saves lives, also assists in bringing the new lives into the world on a daily basis, which is of utmost importance for the Republic of Srpska. New and equipped space means better and efficient treatment of our patients. This is a very significant donation of our friends from Hemofarm who showed once again that Hemofarm is a socially responsible company that has been by our side for many years.

novasala2Donation of the equipment for new gynaecological theatre amounts to EUR 30.600 and it is the first donation of Hemofarm Foundation outside the borders of the Republic of Serbia.
A director of Hemofarm LLC Banja Luka, Mr. Aleksandar Veselinović said: „This hospital has excellent staff and that is the most important factor. By making this donation, we provided better conditions for performing the activities of the staff and for the health of patients that are treated here. In this way we can give our contribution and as a socially responsible company we will fight for this in the future. The Clinic of Gynaecology and Obstetrics performs 150 surgeries on a monthly basis. Waiting lists for minimally invasive endoscopic and laparoscopic surgical procedures will be shorter. These surgical procedures represent modern trends in gynaecology. The theatre was equipped by donation of Hemofarm Foundation. It consists of a gynaecological operative table, electrosurgical units, a surgical aspirator and a hydraulic surgical table for instruments. It is important to emphasize that the operating theatre will be at disposal of the physicians of the Clinic of Paediatric Surgery who treat and perform surgical procedures in our youngest patents. New theatre for endoscopic procedures will be used in diagnostics and surgical treatment of sterility and in diagnostics of unclear adnexal tumour masses, as well as in performing the minimally invasive surgical treatment of benign and malignant tumours of adnexa and uterus, with adoption and mastering the procedures in minimally invasive surgical treatment of static disorders of genital organs. The first laparoscopic surgical procedure in the new gynaecological theatre will be performed by one of the most experienced gynaecologists and obstetricians in the Republic of Srpska, Predrag Rosić MD. The first laparoscopic surgical procedure in the Republic of Srpska was performed under the improvised conditions by Assistant Professor Milan Kovačević MD, PhD, who currently works in Slovenia. Due to earlier undertaken obligations, President of the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Milorad Dodik was not able to attend the opening of the theatre for endoscopic procedures. However, he congratulated to all employees and expressed his wishes for the Clinical Centre to continue with activities on modernisation, education and constant raising of quality of healthcare services in future, in accordance with the needs of patients.
