koridorStormy weather which hit Banja Luka on yesterday afternoon caused material damage on the premises of the University Hospital of Banja Luka Clinic Centre. Namely, the rains and heavy wind in very short period caused damages on the infrastructure of the hospital. There was no danger for the patients and employees of the Hospital, but certain parts of the building were hit by floods.

The personnel of the Hospital protected the patients, moving them from the rooms which were caught by water. Due to big amount of falls in short period, protective installations were broken and caused floods in basement halls and reception offices, at the same time causing material damages. Damages were registered in the halls for heart diseases, daily hospital for oncology, basement passages, technical floor, unfinished part of the first floor, basement of Central Medical Block, birth hospital, basement of Southern Part of the hospital and Clinic for surgery. Timely reaction of the Department for Technical Services, as well as assistance of the other departments of the Hospital prevented bigger material damages in University Hospital of Banja Luka Clinic Centre. Management of the Hospital has contacted insurance company to estimate the damages, and to work as soon as possible on reconstruction of the damages. University Hospital of Banja Luka Clinic Centre continues regular work, and employees of the Hospital who were engaged during the whole night showed one more time their commitment and focus on protection of patients and work for protection of this institution in the states of emergency.
