sastanakDirektoraRS Ministry of Health and Social Protection organized today in University Hospital of Banja Luka Clinic Centre the meeting with the directors of all hospitals of RS, where the topic of the discussion were currently initiated activities on prevention and care of the patients with acute myocardium infarct, and expert cooperation between specific departments of the hospitals. In order to provide better coordination and care about patients, attendees of the meeting agreed on closer cooperation between specific departments of the University Hospital of Banja Luka Clinic Centre and other hospitals in RS, and organization of regular expert meetings.“The goal is to provide equal healthcare protection for all the patients in RS, no matter on where are they coming from, and to make the ambience where most of the patients will be using the services of our institutions, making additional savings in healthcare system”, stated RS Minister of Health and Social Protection Dragan Bogdanic. He underlined that the cardiologists of the University Hospital of Banja Luka Clinic Centre use top modern methods to treat the problem of acute myocardium infarcts. “Also, we will open on 8 September this year special operation locations in Bijeljina Hospital, providing availability of health protection in cases of infarcts, for patients coming from this region of RS”, said Minister Bogdanic.

Head of the Department for Intervene Cardiology at University Hospital Banja Luka Clinic Centre Sasa Loncar stated that the agreement has reached with the Ministry, regarding care in cases of acute myocardium infarcts, as one of the most difficult diagnoses in cardiology. “The citizens should know that there is 24-hour service which works 7 days a week, in frames of this health institution, providing care for the patients with acute myocardium infarct, no matter on the location from which they are coming from”, said Loncar. He stressed that there are four teams which work on those cases, and that is new system in health sector since exclusively domestic teams are drilled and appointed to do on this issue. “Thank to this problem, the patients with acute myocardium infarct will not have any more to use medical treatment our of RS”, said Loncar.
Coordinator for Air Transport of Injured and Ill Persons Nikola Bojic stated that the patients from entire RS will have now the opportunity for transfer from all the areas to University Hospital of Banja Luka Clinic Centre. “In cases of interventions, it is crucial to have ‘golden standard’ which means that three to six hours after the infarct of myocardium, the transfer is essential, especially in case of those problems”, said Bojic. He noted that promotion of the helicopter will be held at the beginning of September, after general testing and alignment of procedures of coordination between the Hospital and Serbian Clinical Centre.
