On November 7th, 2014, representatives of the Centre for Mental Health from Trieste, Italy visited the Psychiatric Clinic.
On that occasion, a one-day workshop entitled “Strengthening the Sisterhood in the Field of Mental Health” was held in the Clinic.
The aim is improvement of politics of mental health and mental health practice through promotion, cooperation and networking between the Republic of Srpska and Italy.
The lectures covered the following topics:
-“Once Upon a Time”- movie review- lecturer: Roberto S.
-“Navigare a vista”/”One Day in the Centre for Mental Health”- lecturer: Roberto S.
– “Social Significance of Mental Health with the Overview of Development and Organization of System of Departments for the Protection of Mental Health”- lecturer: Sanja Gidumovic, Head Nurse in the Centre for Mental Health Banja Luka.
-“Psychiatry Once and Nowadays”- lecturer: Aleksandra Dejanovic, Head Nurse in the Psychiatric Clinic.
The visit of the representatives of the Centre for Mental Health-Trieste should have been organized on May 20th, 2014. However, due to the state of emergency that had been declared in our country, the visit had been cancelled and it was organized in November. Last year, in the period from November 6th to November 8th, 2013, two employees Biljana Spasojevic, a nurse supervisor in the Department of Psychotic Disorders and Nebojsa Babic, a medical technician in the Psychiatric Emergency Department visited the Centre for Mental Health in Trieste.
It was an exceptional honour and pleasure to host colleagues from the Centre for Mental Health and to strengthen future cooperation between these two institutions.
