On 15th of December 2014 General Manager of the UCC Sarajevo Professor Damir Aganovic, MD PhD and Head of the Internal Medicine Intensive Care Unit Kenana Aganovic, M. Sc. Med. visited the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka.
The guests were received by the Acting General Manager Professor Mirko Stanetic, MD PhD and general manager assistants in charge for medical affairs Prim. Jadranka Vidovic, MD PhD and Slobodan Hajder, MD.
The aim of the visit was to improve cooperation between these two institutions, and to improve cooperation between the Internal Medicine Intensive Care Unit (IM ICU) of the UCC Sarajevo and the Department of Intensive Care Medicine (D ICM) of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka. Considering that the IM ICU UKC Sarajevo and D ICM of the UHCC were established according to the same principle and in the same manner with the support of colleagues who are participating in the Project for development of ICUs for countries in transition, approach to work and treatment of patients from the conservative branches of medicine is the same.
During the visit, the guests visited the Department of Intensive Care Medicine, Clinic of Cardiovascular Diseases, and Institute of the Clinical Radiology, Clinic of Urology and Centre for Radiotherapy. After a tour of our institution a meeting was held in the premises of the UH CC Banja Luka management office where the further cooperation between the two institutions as well as cooperation between the IM ICU and the D ICM in terms of weekly visiting rounds by video link with intensivists from Mayo Clinic, Professor Ognjen Gajic, MD PhD were agreed.
