The finishing touch of Project of Czech Government and entrepreneurs aimed at the development of vascular surgery was this donation of medical equipment. Equipping the operation theatres was preceded by the vocational training of six vascular surgeons and nurse of the Clinical Centre Banja Luka in the most prestigious hospitals considering this field of medicine in Brno and Prague, in a country that is known for its vascular surgery. Due to the fact that blood vessel diseases are very common, it is important to invest in knowledge and technical capacities in order to keep up to date on the latest developments.
During the first cycle of education in the Czech Republic all specialists in vascular surgery of the University Hospital Clinical Canter Banja Luka, six of them and a nurse were trained. Our doctors were extremely satisfied with the quality of training and education in the Czech Republic, as well as with new technologies and procedures that they had an opportunity to not only see, but also to adopt. During the second cycle under the Project our two young doctors, residents in vascular surgery were educated regarding the endovascular surgery during a two-week training, which took place in November this year. Plans of our vascular surgeons are directed towards further development and improvement of endovascular surgery, which is known as a very demanding branch of surgery that requires a lot of patience and investing.
