1On December 24th, 2014, the first session of the recently founded Advisory Council of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka was held. The main objective of the activities of members of the Council will be providing the suggestions aimed at improving the quality of work of the biggest health care institution in the Republic of Srpska. The Advisory Council is comprised of respected physicians who spent their working lives performing the duties at the managerial positions in the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka. Therefore, they have huge experience in improving the quality of work and in providing the services to our patients. During the first session of the Advisory Council, Professor Slobodan Jankovic MD, PhD was appointed a president and Primarius Zeljko Rodic MD was appointed a deputy president. Also, on that occasion, Rules of Procedure of the Advisory Council of the UH CC BL were adopted. Activities of the members of the Advisory Council will be particularly useful during reconstruction of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka, since the members have the necessary knowledge and experience.

During the meeting, Acting General Manager of the UH Clinical Centre Banja Luka, Professor Mirko Stanetic MD, PhD, informed all participants about the future functional organization of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka. The aim of the reconstruction is to increase the functionality of the organizational units, to ensure multidisciplinarity and to reduce the managerial staff to the reasonable number of staff members. In this regard, it is necessary to issue and to adopt certain decisions on future activities of both, medical and non-medical staff, with the aim of providing the best possible services to all patients of the UH CC BL.

The Managing Board of the UH Clinical Centre Banja Luka unanimously supported Management’s decision on establishment of the Council. Therefore, all conditions for functioning of the Council are based on legal grounds.
