On December 26th, 2014, General Manager of Mtel Company Mr. Goran Vlaovic symbolically handed over a cheque amounted to BAM 45.000 to the Acting General Manager of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka, Professor Mirko Stanetic, MD, PhD. The cheque was intended for the needs of the UH CC BL.
Owing to this valuable donation and friendly support of Mtel Company, remedial works in the interior space of the Surgery Building in Banja Luka were performed. This especially refers to patient rooms, intensive care units and halls. Also, these financial assets were used for procurement and installation of a new generator which was necessary for power supply in case of power supply interruption.
Acting General Manager, Professor Mirko Stanetic MD, PhD said: „It is a great pleasure for us to promote this activity, since we want to show that there are companies that recognize the importance of existence of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka for the citizens of the Republic of Srpska. We used this donation for the most important purposes, i.e. for performing the remedial works in the Surgery Building in Banja Luka as well as for procurement of the new generator which was necessary for power supply in case of power supply interruption. Due to friendly support of Mtel, patient rooms were refreshed as well as intensive care units and halls. Accordingly, our patients who are our top priority will have a more pleasant stay. Our mission is efficient providing of high quality health care services to the citizens in the Republic of Srpska and in wider region at the secondary and tertiary levels of healthcare protection through continuous investment in development, adoption and creation of new innovative solutions and enhancement of cooperation with the community with the aim of improvement of health care protection and conditions that affect health.”
Mtel Company is one of the greatest and long-standing friends and donors of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka. Therefore, this donation represents continuation of cooperation and it is a result of recognizing the needs for improvement of treatment and working conditions in the biggest health care institution in the Republic of Srpska.
General Manager of Mtel Company Goran Vlaovic said: “Our strategic commitment is to be conscientious and socially responsible in performing business activities. Minister of Health and Social Welfare Dragan Bogdanic attended donation handover and greeted this kind of activity of Mtel Company, emphasizing that cooperation with this company is on enviable level with regard to all levels of social responsibility. This event was also attended by Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in B&H, Mr. Vladimir Nikolic who said that human gestures of companies like Mtel would make our regions closer and even more connected.
