- 1948 – 2015
It is with regret that we inform all employees in the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka and the public that our longstanding and respected colleague Mara Erceg BSc (Econ) passed away at the age of 67 on January 4th, 2015.
Mrs Erceg was born on January 17th, 1948 in Karajizovci in the Municipality of Bosanska Gradiska. She finished the High School of Economics in Banja Luka and graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo on July 8th, 1971. By the decision of Work Organization of former Clinical and Medical Centre, Basic Organization of Associated Labour of the Clinical and Hospital Centre Banja Luka, Mrs Mara Erceg concluded an employment contract with our institution in 1992. Until 2005, she held the positions of Associate Director for Economic Affairs, Head of the Department of Planning, Analysis and Information System, Head of Department of Finance and Accounting, Officer for Planning and Analysis and Director for Non-medical Affairs. In 2007, she was appointed Head of the Department of Business Economics within the Service for Economic and Financial Affairs. Two years later, she was appointed Head of the Service for Economic and Financial Affairs. During her working life, she also passed an exam for certified auditor. She deservedly retired in 2011.
In the period from 2010 to 2014, she actively participated in developing a monograph „The Clinical Centre Banja Luka“. In a simple way, corroborated by archival and documentary materials, she presented a development of the Service for Economic and Financial Affairs, with a special emphasis on activities in the Service during Defensive and Patriotic War. Her co-workers used to describe her as the best economist in the health care system of the Republic of Srpska.
The funeral of Mrs Mara Ercegwill take place on Tuesday, January 6th, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the New Cemetery in Banja Luka.
