dr Dragan Mirnic

1932-2014

It is with regret that we inform you of the death of Primarius Dragan Mirnic, MD, our respected colleague, who suddenly passed away on December 8th, 2014 at the age of 81. He spent almost his entire career working at ENT Clinic of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka.

Primarius Dragan Mirnic, MD was born on February 14th, 1932 in Borkovici. He finished the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade, in 1962. He was employed in the Health Centre in Banja Luka and in the Health Centre in Kljuc as a general practitioner. In 1968, he joined the Medical Centre Banja Luka and held the position in the ENT Service. In1973, he passed a specialist exam and in 1974 he was appointed Head of Department of Conservative Therapy within ENT Service. In 1986, he was appointed Head of the Paediatric Department within ENT Clinic. In 1992, he was appointed Assistant Head for Education, Research and Scientific Work at ENT Clinic. He retired in 2000. He was special, but ordinary. He was great, but modest. His legacy will stay in our hearts, thoughts and words. However, he received the highest recognition and earned the greatest respect from his patients, our citizens who were able to recognize a true humanist, an excellent physician and even better man. Eternal glory and gratitude to him!

A commemorative session on the occasion of death of Primarius Dragan Mirnic, MD was held on December 11th, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. in the Amphitheatre of the Faculty of Medicine in Banja Luka (Paprikovac location, Maternity Building, ground floor).A funeral took place on the same day at 2:00 p.m. at the City Cemetery in Banja Luka.
