DelegacijaOn February 25th, 2015, at twelve noon, President of the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Milorad Dodik visited the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka. Accompanied by Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Dragan Bogdanic, Financial Project Manager of Vamed Company, Mr. Wolfgang Weimar, Oliver Hotz, technical PM, Head of the Project Team, Nikola Bojic MD and Acting General Manager of the UH CC BL Professor Mirko Stanetic, MD, PhD, the President visited the construction site on which reconstruction of the biggest health care institution in the Republic of Srpska commenced.

After the visit to the construction site, Acting General Manager of the UH CC BL, Professor Mirko Stanetic MD, PhD, has emphasized the importance of the reconstruction of the Central Medical Block as well as the importance of the reconstruction of the entire UH Clinical Centre Banja Luka. He has pointed out the fact that works have been performed in accordance with planned dynamics. Forty-four years have passed in order for works to be commenced. This project will benefit the future generations and will be appreciated by them even more than we can predict in this moment. The most important segment of the project is relocation of all surgical clinics and the Pulmonology Clinic. Even more important fact is that all the employees will perform their duties in one facility. Therefore, we will provide better quality and will be more economic, faster and safer for our patients for whom we exist. Professor Stanetic MD, PhD has once again expressed his gratitude on behalf of the citizens, patients and all employees to the Government of the Republic of Srpska for commencement of reconstruction.

Wolfgang Weimar, Financial Project Manager of Vamed Company (Contractor) has said that after demolition of the old concrete structure of the North Wing of the UH CC BL, new facility will be constructed. According to his words, simultaneously with construction works, currently, there is an ongoing process of equipment procurement.

Head of the Project Team, Nikola Bojic MD, has said that reconstruction and construction will provide our employees with better working conditions and will provide our patients with more pleasant hospital stay. He has also emphasized that the Emergency Medicine Centre with two operating theatres providing 24/7 services will be located in the North Wing as well as the Institute of Pathology and ten state-of-the-art operating theatres with intensive care units.

aaMinister Bogdanic has emphasized his great joy and pleasure because of the commencement of implementation of the project which is of historical significance. He has pointed out that this project will provide state-of-the-art health care institution to the Republic of Srpska and the City of Banja Luka.

President of the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Milorad Dodik has emphasized that this is the most important and the biggest project in the health care and one of the capital projects of the Government of the Republic of Srpska which will result in the state-of –the-art medical centre in the region. He said: “The aim is to create the most modern health care institution in the region. There was never enough investing in the health sector. However, the Government of the Republic of Srpska wants to create the state-of-the-art institutions and the UH Clinical Centre Banja Luka is one of them. By implementing this project, the Republic of Srpska shows ability to implement capital projects, in spite of the global crisis.”
