On April 7th, 2015, on the ceremony organized on the occasion of World Health Day in the Administrative Centre of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, ninety-seven doctors of medicine were awarded the title of Primarius by the Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Srpska.
On the basis of a Decision of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and in accordance with suggestion of ethics committees of health care institutions from the Republic of Srpska, and in accordance with the Rule book on conditions and procedure of awarding the title of Primarius, for 2015, ninety-seven doctors of medicine who fulfilled the criteria, were awarded this prestigious title. Eighteen of them are employees of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka i.e. Mladen Duronjic, MD, Dragan Kasapovic, MD, Novak Vasic, MD, Bosko Amidzic, Natasa Zelincevic, MD, Zivko Vranjes, MD, Gordana Strazivuk, MD, Aleksandra Grbic, MD, Goran Campara, MD, Drago Smiljanic, MD, Djuka Ninkovic Baros, MD, Jadranka Mirjanic, MD, Svjetlana Milanovic, MD, Marinka Martinovic, MD, Aleksandar Dobrovoljski, MD, Zvezdana Pastar, MD, Jadranka Simic Stanisavic, Zora Antonic, MD.
The title of Primarius is earned through making long-standing efforts, having professional attitude towards work and spreading health culture and idea. Accordingly, great contribution is given to the whole health care system.
April 7th is marked worldwide as World Health Day. Therefore, this ceremony was organized on this date in order to symbolically draw attention of public to the significance of preserving health and role of health care workers in that respect.
