Professional educational training in the Institute of Clinical Radiology

On May 12^th, 2015, in the period from twelve noon to 3:30 p.m., in the Institute of Clinical Radiology of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka, a professional educational training for radiologists and specialists in other fields of medicine was held. The educational training is entitled „ Algorithms of soft tissue analyses with an emphasis on breast diagnostics“. After introductory speeches of Sasa Vujnovic, MD, PhD and Assistant General Manager for Medical Affairs, Professor Zvezdana Rajkovaca, MD, PhD, Professor Zoran Brnic, MD, PhD, Head of the Clinical Institute of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Zagreb, held two lectures: „Breast and liver biopsy“ and a shortlecture on contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging entitled „Dotarem’s safety; algorithms of operating and technique“. Afterwards, Sasa Vujnovic, MD, PhD presented the latest experiences of the Institute of Clinical Radiology regarding MRI examinations of spleen at 1.5 T and 3.0 T MRI scanners. At the end of the theoretical session, a director of company Pharmacol Ltd, Petra Pungercar, MD, held a short presentation of the company and its production programme. The educational training was ended by conducting the exercises in relation to ultrasound-guided breast biopsy and by constructive exchange of experiences of the attendees.
