IMG_3925On July 23rd, 2015, delegation of consultants for evaluation of project “Hospital Modernization in B&H – Phase I” (completed in 2007) and project “Hospital Modernization in B&H – Phase I” (completed in 2011) visited the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka. The aim of their visit was identifying good practice and making the recommendations for future interventions of the Government of Republic of Korea (EDCF – Economic Development Cooperation Fund). Delegation of evaluators was comprised of Mrs Lee Young Sin (PrimeCore), Mrs Kim Ha Neul (PrimeCore), Mrs Anja Ademi (local consultant) and Mr Jeong Woongcheol (EDCF).

During the meeting with the Management of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka and Heads of the relevant organizational units, members of the delegation had the opportunity to see power point presentation consisting of data on organizational scheme and organizational units of the biggest health care institution in the Republic of Srpska, statistical data on capacity utilisation, number of services provided and procedures performed etc. The significance of utilization of medical equipment provided through these projects was specially emphasized, because it represented a significant step forward in the functioning of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka.

After the working session, the attendees visited the Institute of Clinical Radiology, the Clinic of Cardiovascular Diseases, the Clinic of Neurology, the Internal Medicine Clinic and the Clinic of Oncology. These organizational units were provided with capital equipment such as 3.0 Tesla MRI scanner, 64-slice CT scanner, monitoring systems (located in the Coronary Care Unit and Pacemaker Centre), Cath Lab, monitoring system (Stroke Unit) and ultrasound devices. Korean guests also visited the part of the South Wing. Construction of this facility is a component of implementation of the project “Hospital Modernization in B&H – Phase III”.

Members of Korean delegation expressed satisfaction with cooperation of employees in our institution. They were impressed with great attention paid to maintenance of the equipment, especially with the fact that all devices still operated.
