On June 18th, 2015, donation of the Radio-Television of the Republic of Srpska was delivered to the youngest patients at the Department of Haemato-Oncology of the Paediatric Clinic. The income obtained by selling the tickets for “St. George’s Children’s Song Festival, Banjaluka 2015“ is intended for treatment of children at the Department of Haemato-Oncology within the Paediatric Clinic of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka.
By the Decision of the Directorate of Radio-Television of the Republic of Srpska, collected financial assets in the net amount of BAM 3.878,63 were used for procurement of necessary equipment for the Department of Haemato-Oncology within the Paediatric Clinic. The price of a ticket for this year’s festival was BAM 1.00.
On this occasion, two pulse oximeters with appropriate sensors, two inhalators, bedding sets for 24 big beds, bedding sets for 12 small beds, towels, books and toys were donated.
Delivery of the donation of RTRS to the Department of Haemato-Oncology of the Paediatric Clinic was attended by the Management of the UHCC Banjaluka, medical personnel of the Paediatric Clinic and representatives of RTRS. They visited the Department of Haemato-Oncology and spoke to patients and their parents.
Professor Mirko Stanetic, MD, PhD, Acting General Manager of the UHCC Banjaluka, Srdjan Dzajic, Head of the Directorate of RTRS and Stojislav Konjevic, MD, Head of the Paediatric Clinic addressed the media representatives and emphasized the importance of these events, because children participated in the humanitarian action and helped their peers.
