1960-2015

It is with regret that we inform all employees in the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka and the public that Boro Kuzmic, MD, MSc, pulmonary specialist, has suddenly passed away at the age of 55 on August 2nd, 2015.

Boro Kuzmic was born on January 24th, 1960 in Grabovica, Municipality of Kotor Varos, the Republic of Srpska. He finished primary school in Grabovica in 1975. In 1979, he finished Grammar School. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade in 1984 and passed a specialist exam in pulmonology in 1998.

From 1984 to 1990, he was employed in the Health Centre in Kotor Varos. In 1991, he joined the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka – the Clinic of Pulmonary Diseases. He defended his MSc thesis entitled “Improvement of Quality of Life in Patients Suffering from Bronchial Asthma in the Light of Modern Treatment Methods”.

From 2011, he held the position of Head of Department of Pulmonology with Services, Outpatient Admission Units and Daily Hospitals within the Clinic of Pulmonary Diseases. Boro Kuzmic MD, MSc also held the position of Deputy Head of the Clinic of Pulmonary Diseases.

He is an author of expert papers „Analysing the Connection between Lung Function and Quality of Life of Asthmatic Patients “and „Indicators for Predicting the Quality of Life of Asthmatic Patients“.

A commemorative session on the occasion of death of Boro Kuzmic MD, MSc will be held on Monday, on August 3rd, 2015 at twelve noon in the Blue Conference Room of the Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of Srpska. A funeral will take place on Tuesday, August 4th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the local cemetery in Grabovica, Municipality of Kotor Varos.
