Public Health Institute of the Republic of Srpska donated ten oximeters for pulse measurement and monitoring of blood oxygen saturation to the Clinic of Infectious Diseases of the University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska.

Through the project „Surveillance and Response to Avian and Pandemic Influenza” and for the purpose of surveillance of influenza in patients with severe acute respiratory infections, the Centre for Control of Infectious Diseases from Atlanta in cooperation with the South East European Centre for Surveillance and Control of Infectious Diseases provided a donation of ten oximeters for the Clinic of Infectious Diseases of the UCC RS.

Donation handover was attended by Nina Rodic Vukmir, MD, epidemiology specialist from the Public Health Institute of the Republic of Srpska and coordinator of this project for the Republic of Srpska, Zvezdana Vukovic, MD from the Clinic of Infectious Diseases, Assistant Professor Antonija Verhaz, MD, PhD, the Head of the Clinic of Infectious Diseases and Professor Zvezdana Rajkovaca, Assistant General Manager for Medical Affairs of the UCC RS.
