The Association of Patients Suffering from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) of the Republic of Srpska officially became a member of the International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations.

The Association was established in late December 2015. The significance of the fact that the Association joined the International Alliance is even greater because the Association will be able to apply globally recommended standards in treating patients suffering from ALS in accordance with conditions in our country.

We would like to remind you that Association of Patients Suffering from ALS launched a range of activities during the August with the aim of collecting financial assets in order to procure new devices for non-invasive ventilation (NIV). The activities were completed by organizing the humanitarian concert entitled “Banja Luka for ALS”. These activities have resulted in collected financial assets for procurement of four NIV devices which will be delivered in the following days. As a sign of support to this humanitarian action, BORMIAMED company will also donate one device.

By launching these actions, the Association of Patients Suffering from ALS brought patients, their families and our whole society together and joined the International Alliance in the hope of providing the members of the Association with better care, because “Someone I love needs help”.
