SLN biopsies for head and neck melanomas have been for the first time performed in the UCC RS
On September 29th, 2016, plastic and reconstructive surgeons and maxillofacial surgeons performed two SLN biopsies (sentinel lymph node biopsy) in patients, in whom primary localizations of melanomas were on face.

The University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska is the largest and the most significant public healthcare institution in the Republic of Srpska. The main activity of the University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska is hospital treatment of patients (admission, diagnostics and management) at the secondary and tertiary healthcare levels.
MISSION
Mission of the University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska is to become efficient, effective and highly specialized healthcare, scientific, research and educational institution dedicated to providing quality services at the secondary and tertiary health care levels to the population of the Republic of Srpska and population of the wider region. It should be accomplished through continuous investment in development, adoption and creating of innovative solutions and enhancement of cooperation with community with the aim of improvement of population health and conditions that affect health.
VISION
Vision of the University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska is to become a leading provider of healthcare services at secondary and tertiary healthcare levels to the population of the Republic of Srpska and population of the wider region, to be a modern, rational and effective healthcare institution providing patients, employees and wider community with services, to be ready to respond to challenges in the region and to meet the needs of users related to providing healthcare services.
