 Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Vladimir Nikolić visited the Clinical Centre Banjaluka. On that occasion, he met with the members of Management and discussed the importance of cooperation and connections between healthcare workers of the Clinical Centre Banjaluka and employees of healthcare institutions in Serbia. His visit was aimed principally at expressing the awareness about importance of existence of our institution and at offering all his resources in order to make communication between medical staff from both sides even better and more efficient.

 VWest Nile virus belongs to the group of viruses known as Flaviviridae and it is transmitted to humans via the bite of an infected mosquito. Often, people infected with West Nile virus have no symptoms. However, severe symptoms like encephalitis (inflammation of the brain) or meningitis (inflammation of the meninges – protective membranes that cover the brain and spinal cord) may occur. Approximately 80% of infected persons have no symptoms.

Since 2009, The Clinic of Traumatology of the Clinical Centre Banja Luka performs its activities as an independent organizational unit. There is no rest for the physicians of the Clinic of Traumatology, since they are managing patients with severe injuries, extremity fractures and spinal fractures. Within the Clinic of Traumatology there is the Spinal Centre in which patients with the most complicated spinal injuries and injuries of locomotive system are treated. Degenerative diseases are treated and managed, including congenital diseases and also the conditions which occur as consequences of oldness i.e. fitting the patients with artificial hips and other implant material. The Clinic of Traumatology comprises of the Spinal Department and the General Traumatology.

 On July 4th, 2014, associations of patients visited the Clinical Centre Banja Luka and held a meeting with Acting General Manager Professor Mirko Stanetić MD, PhD. Aleksandra Gordić, Svjetlanović Mirjana and Stojan Jerković, from Association “Snaga”, Ališa Zlatko from Association “Osmijeh” (which is in the process of establishing), Azra Ikalović from Association „Iskra”, as well as Lidija Dodeva-Ristić, Nikić Renata and Veselinović Vladimir participated in the meeting.

 On July 2nd, 2014, Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Srpska Dragan Bogdanić MD, director of the Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of Srpska Darko Tomaš together with a delegation of health insurance company DAK Gesundheit composed of Mr. Ralf Fischer, a member of DAK Gesundheit Management, Mr. Milorad Pajović who works at the headquarters of DAK Gesundheit in Hamburg and Mr. Dragan Barać, counsellor of the Board of Directors of DAK Gesundheit who is in charge for South Eastern Europe, visited the Clinical Centre Banja Luka.
