In the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka, an interdisciplinary meeting with doctors of medicine from the Ophthalmology Clinic and doctors of medicine from the Clinic of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery was held today.
As a result of a donation of fluorescence microscope EUROStar III Plus and ELISA Analyzer 1-2P made by company MEDICOM Ltd Bijeljina and necessary education of personnel which was conducted in Germany (EUROIMMUN, Lübeck), the Clinic of Skin and Venereal Diseases was enabled to conduct diagnostic tests as well as to monitor effects of therapy in patients with autoimmune bullous dermatoses.
On April 7th, 2015, on the ceremony organized on the occasion of World Health Day in the Administrative Centre of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, ninety-seven doctors of medicine were awarded the title of Primarius by the Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Srpska.

On April 7th, 2015, in the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka, Professor Bruno Barsic, MD, PhD, infectious diseases specialist and subspecialist in intensive care medicine held a lecture entitled “Intensive care medicine in infectology”.
In the period from March 26th to March 28th, 2015, IV Symposium of operating theatre nurses and technicians and sterilization nurses and technicians of the Republic of Serbia was held. This year’s event which was organized in the ethno village Stanisici in Bijeljina was dedicated to the role of nurses and technicians in different surgical procedures.
Annual Scientific Session & Expo of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) was held in San Diego, California, from March 14th to March 16th, 2015. This scientific session represents one of the most important events in the field of cardiology. It was confirmed by the fact that almost 30 000 participants and more than 300 industry representatives attended the event.

Association of Neurologists of the Republic of Srpska and the Neurology Clinic of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka are marking the Global Day of Epilepsy Awareness. Epilepsy is one of the most common diseases or a central nervous system disorder. Marking of this day is aimed at reducing the prejudices towards people suffering from epilepsy.
Physicians of the Clinic of Cardiovascular Diseases have established the Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery Consulting Body which will greatly facilitate course of treatment to our patients.
On March 18th, 2015, the Association of Citizens „Mosaic of Friendship“ donated 6000 pieces of face masks and 325 sets of sterile gauze compresses to the Oncology Clinic, the Clinic of Infectious Diseases and the Internal Medicine Clinic of the University Hospital Clinical Centre Banja Luka.
