It is with regret that we inform all employees in the University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska that Svjetlana Dunjic, MD, specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics suddenly passed away on November 9th, 2015. The news of her sudden death emotionally shook all her working colleagues and all employees of the UCC RS.

The twentieth jubilee kidney transplant was performed in the University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska

The twentieth kidney transplant was successfully performed in the University Clinical Centre of the Republic of Srpska. The first transplant was performed more than four years ago in the UCC RS with the assistance of the Team from the Military Medical Academy Belgrade that was also involved in the education of our personnel. Up to now, all the transplants were performed without any complications.

Visit to the Clinic of Cardiovascular Diseases

On October 15th, 2015, Professor Aleksandar Redzek, MD, PhD, director of the Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases Sremska Kamenica and Professor Stamenko Susak, MD, PhD, Head of the Cardiac Surgery Clinic within the Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases Sremska Kamenica visited the Clinic of Cardiovascular Diseases of the UCC RS. Guests were greeted by Professor Zvezdana Rajkovaca, MD, PhD, Assistant General Manager for Medical Affairs of the UCC RS and Assistant Professor Tamara Kovacevic-Preradovic, MD, PhD, Head of the Clinic of Cardiovascular Diseases.

World Ostomy Day is marked every year at the beginning of October with the aim of eliminating prejudices about patients with ostomy. The theme of this year’s World Ostomy Day is “Many Stories, One Voice.” On September 28th, 2015, the Association of Ostomy Patients placed a stand in front of the department store „Boska“.
